This is the morning of Spain\u2019s second Xmas lottery \u2018Loter\u00eda del Ni\u00f1o\u2019, so called because later today an important event takes place, it\u2019s the most magical night of the year, when the Three Royal Magi followed the star to baby Jesus.<\/p>\n<p>Spain celebrates the occasion with colourful street parades and children watch in awe as the three Kings arrive \u2013 Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar passing by in their ornate carriages, or riding camels, and most likely accompanied by Santa too!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>January 6 \u2013 Epiphany or Three Kings\u2019 Day<\/strong><br \/>On Three Kings\u2019 Day \u2018Dia de los Reyes Magos\u2019 children, and adults across Spain, excitedly wake up on this bank holiday morning to loads of presents. It\u2019s a day to spend with the family.<\/p>\n<p>Finish off the festive season on the Costa Blanca with afternoon tea and a slice of traditional \u2018Rosc\u00f3n\u2019, a large sweet bun ring sprinkled with sugar and candied angelica.
